1) How long you been doing what you do and how did you become a wedding makeup artist?
I have been doing makeup professionally for 8 years. However, I guess you can say that I was a makeup artist from birth . I just didn't know it until later in life. I was that little girl who played with her Mom's makeup or any makeup that was near my hands. I practiced makeup as just a fun and cool hobbie with my friends while attending Tuskegee University. After graduating I entered into my field but I also decided to take a part-time job at a makeup counter to make some extra cash and fell in love with the art. However; what drew me to working with brides is the feedback that I received after working with so many of my clients at the MAC counter. Little by little the clients that used to come to me at the counter found it easier to have me come to their homes to do makeup for their events. I think I work well with brides because I know that this one of the most important days in her life and I take my duty for their wedding day very seriously. I love makeup but I genuinely love creating a vibe with people and helping them look and feel wonderful. It's so rewarding that I can hardly express it with words. I totally understand the emotions that are involved with this day and I enjoy having the ability to not only enhance beauty but also share in the memorable experience with brides.
2) We love your portfolio. Everything sounds great but sets you apart from all the other makeup artists?

I believe in enhancing your natural beauty and highlighting your special, unique and beautiful features. I also specialize in creating a tear, smudge, hug and kiss proof glamorous look. I fuse my professional experience in the film, TV and print media forums to add to the beauty experience with you.
This is mostly where I differ from other makeup artists. It's great to look fabulous; but this fabulosity needs to last the entire day not only for your pictures .
3) This sounds like it's expensive, I should just do it myself?
This might sound silly but looking your best is an investment. Consider this, your wedding is the most photographed day of your life. Your pictures are lifelong keepsakes. You want to look like the best you possible. My team has years of experience in doing hair and makeup for photography and film so we totally understand how to make you look you look your absolute best under any condition. Looking your best is the last thing you should be worrying about. Why add more stress to your day when you can have the Ellen B. team come to you and relax while we take the beauty into our skilled hands : )
Also, I speak to many brides who decided to take a less expensive option only to have them tell me that they spent more money purchasing makeup that wasn't used or went with other artists who were not as skilled and hated the look. Who wants to hate how they look on their wedding day? When you consider this then hiring my team might not look like a big expense.
4) Do you take credit cards ?
Yes we do accept all major credit cards through the pay pal system which allows you to pay from your computer.
5) This sounds great, I would love to get my makeup/hair done for my special day. How do I get started?
